Introduction to Product Marketing for Consultants.

How does it all work?
Think of the systems and processes you already guide clients through daily—have you formalized them into a recognisable, easy-to-communicate format?
If not, you are missing out on a valuable source of revenue for your business, turning your back on future value that could have been added to your company share price and maybe even risking the possibility that your valuable IP could be stolen and used by others.
This is akin to owning a valuable asset that is hidden in your loft. All the time it is there and you are doing nothing with it. Worse still - You may not even know it is there and will leave it for the next tenant!
The only difference with this analogy is that when the painting is discovered, it can still be sold. Your business assets need to be monetised now, before it is too late. The assets that are already in your business are the processes you use every day. Some of them are processes you use internally, some are customer facing.
You may already have a standard operating procedure (SOP), but this is not enough to create and protect an asset.
How it is done
The idea is to identify these systems, turn them into a type of Acronym / Framework or graphic that can be very quickly communicated.
Example: A colleague of mine called Kyle Balmer teaches all things AI. He uses a framework called RIsEN. He has Protected that using trademarks (not the idea, the FRAMEWORK) and this in turn has added value to his consulting company. Youtube views on this framework are already in the MILLIONS! Kyle probably created more value in that one single act than he earned in total last year.
